Marshall McLuhan designed the tetrad as a system to probe the effects media and technology have on the evolution of our society. His predictions of our society's future, derived from this system, continue to be prophetically correct.
All you need is a pen and paper to create a tetrad. My project is a tetrad of a box (for McLuhan, simple boxes are also considered media). It is a more three-dimensional version, incorporating an Arduino Uno, sensors, and LEDs.
A better understanding of how McLuhan's system exists will give us a better understanding of how technology and design can be improved and more effective.
